Motorola's Next Small Phone Just Leaked, and It Looks Pretty Fun
A first look at the Motorola Edge 70 Neo
Motorola has this thing it does. Every year, it makes a smaller, more affordable version of its Edge phone and calls it "Neo." And it looks like the next one just leaked.
Say hello to the Motorola Edge 70 Neo. No official announcement yet. No price. No launch date. Just some render images that leaked online, giving us our first proper look.
What It Looks Like
It looks a lot like the regular Motorola Edge 70. Same vibe.
- A colorful back panel
- A square-shaped camera module
- Gently curved edges, on both the front and back
- A plastic frame, which is normal for this price range
- Volume and power buttons on the right side
There are three cameras on the back. But one of them is tiny, and honestly looks like it's just there for design, not for actually taking photos. That happens a lot in mid-range phones.
The real headline here is the main camera. It's a 200-megapixel sensor. That's a big number for a phone that's probably going to be priced quite affordably.
The Colors Are the Fun Part
Instead of the usual black or gray, Motorola is going with:
- Light green
- Dark green
- Light blue
- Pink
And each color reportedly has its own texture on the back too. Not just a different shade of paint. Small detail, but it makes the phone feel a little more thought-through.
It's Meant to Be Small
This is really the whole point of the Neo series. While every other phone is getting bigger, Motorola keeps these ones compact. The last two Neo phones both had screens around 6.36 inches, and this one is expected to follow that same idea. Good news if you're tired of phones that barely fit in your pocket.
What We're Guessing on Specs
Nothing is confirmed. But the rumors suggest it could be close to the Motorola Edge (2026), which comes with:
- A MediaTek Dimensity 7450 chip
- A 6.3-inch display that gets very bright, up to 5,200 nits
- A 5,000 mAh battery with 68W fast charging
If the Neo ends up somewhere close to this, it'll be a genuinely good phone for the money.
So, Bottom Line
Still early days. No price, no confirmed launch date. But just from these renders, the Edge 70 Neo already looks like one of the more interesting compact phones coming up this year. Motorola teased its arrival officially just a few days before this leak, so a proper announcement probably isn't far off.
More details should come soon as the launch gets closer.
